Grammy, Jane and gym class!

We had a great week! A visit from Grammy and Jane, playdates with friends and a new "gym" class...

Grammy and Aunt Jane Helmer came to visit us for a few days last weekend. Jane spent so much time with the Ranere kids when we were growing up, so it was especially wonderful to have her spend a few days with Little O.

In typical (unfortunate) fashion, Jane brought the rain... but since this is a given when we vacation with Jane, we didn't let the weather stop us! We shopped, ate well, and most importantly, spent lots of hours laughing with Owen. Grammy and Jane had a knack for making him giggle like crazy!

Once we said sadly good-bye to them, we returned to our normal routine... when Mom is at work Mondays-Wednesdays, Owen is busy at home with our nanny, Sharon. He absolutely loves her, and we get daily reports (and sometimes pictures!) about their daily adventures which usually include:

- smiling at everyone on the street, especially if it's a pretty woman, earning him "Mayor of 85th Street" title by our neighbors

- running through a "circuit" in our apartment which includes his gym, his activity center, his bouncy seat, his jolly jumper, his puppy dog chair, and his crib
- taking walks in the park and playing in the playground across the street
- having playdates with Ava, an adorable 8 month old girl who lives closeby


This week, we expanded the routine to include a "gym" class that Owen takes.... we think the pictures describe it best... little did we know Owen is in training to join Cirque do Soleil!
