Last weekend, Jack went golfing in Colorado with his HBS friends, so Owen and Suey went up to Hanson to visit Grandma and Grandpa Norris. Grammy and Papa Ranere were in Italy, otherwise we would have seen them too!
We were quite busy in those 48 hours in Hanson, and we managed to see and do a lot! Regrettably, I forgot the camera, but we did take a few on my phone...
On Friday, we went to Cranberry Cove to swim on Maria's beach. Owen loved sitting on the shore, splashing away in the water with Grandma, Maria and Aunt Terry. Then Saturday morning, we drove down to Dennis Port to visit Libby who was staying with friends for the weekend. Owen was so happy to be on the beach...
After splashing in the water with Grandma, Owen headed back to play in the sand. Libby decided to make a sand castle with Owen.... after digging a big hole together, she brought him a bucket of water and dumped it in the moat for him. Owen liked it so much that he looked at Libby and said "more" and motioned for her to get the pail, walk down to the water and fill it up for him... she must have done these shuttle runs for him about 50 times, and each time she walked away, Owen would get this huge grin as if watching his subjects from on top of his castle...
Later that night, we went to dinner at China Plaza, a Norris family favorite. Owen didn't love the Chinese food, but he did love the sub rolls that they serve... proving Mom wrong that someone does in fact eat the rolls at a Chinese restaurant!
On Sunday, I slept in late while Owen ran around the farm with Grandma, Grandpa and Lilly. They had a fun visit with Gret and Gerry, and I heard Owen even started calling Gret "Gigi" by the time they left.
Sadly, we left yesterday afternoon and headed back to the city... when we got home, Jack was waiting for us and Owen was very happy to see his Dad (and so was Mom!)!
Hope everyone had great weekends too. We promise more updates from the past few weeks will be coming soon!
