Cape Cod - Week 2

On Sunday, Grammy and Nana Ranere joined us on the Cape. Since Hurricane Danny was still lingering when they arrived, we didn't make it to the beach for the first two days, but that didn't stop Owen from having fun:

Owen loved looking at the boats in Sesuit Harbor:

A love of all things lobster must run in his genes...

Apparently, hurricanes and bad hair days go hand in hand....

On Monday evening, we headed over to Kathy and Vicky Coady's house in Brewster for a sunset bbq. We had the pleasure of meeting Kathy and Vicky's boyfriends... and they had the pleasure of a few dozen fist bumps from Owen.

We saw another amazing sunset on Tuesday night, overlooking Chapin's beach in Dennis:

On Wednesday, it was our 3rd wedding anniversary, and we spent the day on the beach together, followed by a great dinner at The Wequassett.

We spent many, many hours on our deck overlooking the ocean, having a few Coronas (with Owen dutifully giving everyone a lime), and watching the sailboats pass by.

On Friday, Papa arrived and we spent the whole day on the beach.

Owen loved watching us play frisbee... each time we would throw it, he'd stand there, waving his arms, stomping his feet, squealing when someone caught it.

On Friday night, we headed over to Harwich for dinner with the Shushan's, and we made a pit stop on the way to look at Wychmere Harbor:

We spent our last day on the beach... even Nana made it down!

A surfer in training...

On our last night, we drove over to Sears Point in Brewster where we used to have a house... it was low tide and the view was as beautiful as ever.

We were definitely sad to leave the Cape today.... as Jack will tell you, my least favorite 2 minutes of the year is driving over the Sagamore Bridge, leaving the Cape. Only 355 days until we are there again!
