Getting in the Christmas spirit

Home for the holidays! We couldn't be happier to be back home for 2 weeks! Owen and I just arrived in Belmont this afternoon, and we are picking up Jack at the train station tonight. Before the holiday celebrations start up here, we wanted to post a few things from an early Christmas in New York...

We put up our Christmas tree 2 weeks ago (and took it down before we left last night!)... the earliest either of us have ever done that! When it first arrived, Owen was quite puzzled what a tree was doing in his playroom...

Since Owen loves all things that light up, both Jack and I were so excited to see Owen's reaction to the lights on the tree.... here's a video of Jack channeling Clark Griswold....

Hanging up the Christmas ornaments...

Fascination with the fact there's a bowl of water under the tree...

And Owen's favorite part of the tree... ducking into the back corner of the tree, trying to hide from us, thinking that no one can see him trying to touch the lights there...

Admiring his Christmas tree from a front row seat...

And then last weekend, we hosted our annual "Team" dinner with good, old friends... 364 days of the year, our apartment usually looks like something between Chuck E. Cheese and Toys R Us headquarters, but on this night, we try to transform it back into an adult's home...

Each year we do a Yankee swap at this party... lucky for us, we chose the broken in "JACK" hat which the Berzofsky's mysteriously acquired...

But what we really wanted was the jungle fever Snuggy... lucky George and Liz...

A final festive good-bye before the boys headed off to the Back Fence...
