Adventures of the birthday boy

We spent Owen's birthday doing things that he loves...

After waking up, he took a shower with Daddy...

Then he helped Mommy make pancakes (and helped the dishwasher by licking the spatula dry)...

Then we met up with our friends, the Ginsbergs... their son, Liam, turned 3 today, so we took the birthday boys to the zoo.

Then we met Jack at his office and went to lunch... Owen even persuaded Daddy to strike a few "poo poo now" poses on the streets of midtown...

After his afternoon nap, Owen played with his new train set...

Then we went to get ice cream with M&Ms in it...

After ice cream, we headed to the park and blew bubbles...

Then after dinner, we sang happy birthday and ate cupcakes which Owen had been asking about all day...

After cupcakes, we read his "2nd birthday" card that was written for him at his baby shower by Cathy Mintzer:

"To Owen, at 2 it is ok to stamp your feet, scream all year and say no all the time.
And to Mom, this year will end with great stories! Love, Cathy"

After his bath, Owen ran into his room and jumped on his bed (until we figure out how to transition his crib into a toddler bed, we've put his mattress on the floor)....

And he ended the day telling his best friend about all of his birthday adventures...

"Happy to you" little buddy... we love you!
