Rewind 12 weeks...

Looks like we have a whole summer's worth of blog updates to do... not sure how we let the whole summer pass by without one! I'll blame it on record heat in the city, pregnancy #2, and to be fair, overall laziness I guess :) So this morning of all mornings, with the movers arriving in 30 minutes, I decided to look back on this summer's pictures and put up some posts... nothing like procrastination.

So let's go back to June and start with a tribute to Dad... Owen wanted to make something for Jack for his Father's Day present, so we headed to a paint your own pottery place in our neighborhood. After much deliberation, we chose to paint a mug for Daddy's "foffee"...

Here is the proud artist giving his Dad his present, just in time for his morning coffee...

After breakfast, Jack and Owen put on their matching bathing suits (this may be the last year I can get away with that... Owen is sure to catch on to this not so cool wardrobing strategy someday soon), and we headed up to the beach in Fairfield to spend the day swimming, playing catch and eating one of Owen's favorites, Sponge Bob Ice Cream.

After our day at the beach, we went for our 3rd annual Father's Day dinner at Mermaid Inn, Jack's favorite spot in the city, for lobster rolls and Old Bay fries.

We feel very lucky to have and have had such wonderful Dads in our lives... Papa, Grandpa, Kit, Beeps, Papa, Poppa, Papa and all of our wonderful uncles to name a few... and of course, we are so lucky to have Jack... Happy (very belated) Father's Day to everyone!
