Trick or treat!

After spending lots of time at the beach this summer, we thought an ocean themed Halloween was a good idea for 2010. So here we are... 2 lifeguards, a shark and a minnow.

It was a chilly and windy night in the city, so Cooper stayed home with Lolita and we headed out trick or treating, New York City style.

First stop, our lobby... the doormen filled a huge bowl of candy and Owen dove in:

We met up with our friends, the Ginsbergs and Downes families... they had a Santa Claus (Liam), Foofa from Yo Gabba (Sosie), and Elmo (Kathleen).

We went down to 87th street where they had closed off traffic so the kids could run around...
In New York, most people that live in high rises leave candy outside their doors, so you pile in an elevator and stop on each floor to trick or treat...

... and when the elevator is slow, you hit the stairs...

We said good-bye to our friends and walked home making a pitstop at a few of Owen's favorite spots in the neighborhood. Here he is getting candy at Jackson Hole, the diner on our block.

Owen crashed around 9:00 after having tasted many candies... "just one more, Mom!"
