July 4th extravaganza

On the morning of the 4th, we participated in the 2nd annual Red Acres 4th of July Parade. We decked out Owen in his Independence Day get-up and set out for his first patriotic march. Little O was joined by the extended Mullen family... 18 adults, 2 babies, 1 toddler, 3 dogs, 1 antique truck and 1 official parade vehicle equipped with a waving Miss Fourth of July who sang "Happy Birthday America" (one of the lesser known patriotic tunes). Impressive growth from last year!

Here's a quick video of Owen getting ready for his inaugural stroll...

So what did this look like to an innocent first-time participant? Here's what Uncle Stevie had to say (who bravely joined in for what may be his first and last Red Acres parade)...

Just another crazy day on the farm.... hope you all enjoyed your 4th's as well!
