Happy Father's Day!

We hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day! Despite the 18th day of rain in June in NYC (unfortunately, absolutely no exaggeration), we had a great day celebrating Dad.

We started the day off with a trip to the park, climbing stairs and pushing strollers...

After a quick outfit change (blame the puddles), we headed off to The Mermaid Inn for a lobster roll brunch, a Dad favorite. Faithful readers may recall that we were also there last year for Father's Day...

After lunch, the rain had stopped, so we enjoyed a leisurely walk home...

After a 2 hour nap (that's a rare, but wonderful, thing in the Norris household), we set out to the park again. Owen has recently become very interested in throwing and kicking a ball around... while neither Mom nor Dad were good soccer players, we think Owen may be a natural....

Owen worked up quite an appetite running around, so went to get an ice cream which he (and Dad) happily devoured.
On our walk home, the sun broke through for a few minutes, just long enough for Owen and Dad to get their shades on...

After a fun afternoon, we walked home so we could meet Mary, Jimmy, Shannon and Emma who are in town to kick off the girls' summer vacation. We didn't get any pictures of everyone tonight, but they'll be back on Tuesday, so stay tuned!

The three of us had a great day together, but we missed our own Dads on Father's Day... we can't wait to see them both very soon!

It is of course more than just that Capn Mary should take credit for Owen's soccer prowess. Mom's and my and JACK'S soccer skills were nill.

Love,
