Thanksgiving break

It has been a while since our last update... we have lots to share about our 10 day trip home for Thanksgiving!

We left here on the 20th to spend a few days in Belmont before Papa and Grammy left to spend the holiday with Katy, Kit and Finley in Raleigh. We took Owen on many adventures over those few days, the first of which was a visit to Papa's office where his stethoscope became the favorite toy of the day.

Then on the 22nd, we took Owen to his first Harvard Yale game (which Harvard, not surprisingly, won)... unfortunately, it was too cold to tailgate with the little guy for long, but we did manage to take him inside the stadium with Papa, Grammy, Uncle Stevie, the Creedons, and the Pelligrinis! As you can see, he was so bundled up he could hardly move!
Underneath all those layers of clothes, Owen wore his one-of-a-kind crimson, navy and white striped sweater that Grandma Norris knit just for The Game (Jack calls this Owen's "confused" sweater). We wanted Grandma to see how cute he looked in her sweater, so we took a quick trip down to Hanson that night to surprise Grandma, Grandpa and Patty... they were thrilled to see him!

While we were in Belmont, Owen fell in love with his seat at the "bar" in the kitchen, where he could keep tabs on everyone's comings and goings and even give a few waves!

Well, we want to believe he learned how to wave, but truthfully, we're not really sure what he's trying to tell us when he does that...

On the day before Thanksgiving, we packed up things in Belmont and headed down to Hanson where the entire Norris family anxiously awaited his arrival! We spent Thanksgiving day with the Norris, Scandurra and Wolf families which was a blast.

While in Hanson, Owen developed a particular fondness for Uncle Curtis who may in fact be his soul mate... both can't sit still, both hate being inside, and both adore Aunt Patty.

After a great stay in Hanson, we eventually returned home to NYC on the 30th... needless to say, Owen was quite upset that his fan club didn't also come with us! But we've had a lot of laughs since we have been home... all Owen wants to do is "walk" around the apartment... if you hold his hands, he will actually take his own steps, and parade all over the place, very determined to get what to he wants. We'll try to capture this on video soon.. it has been cracking us up!

Hope everyone had great Thanksgivings too!
