Last Thursday, I headed down to Raleigh to visit Katy, Kit, and Finley and to meet my first nephew, Coady. Jack and Owen were supposed to come down on Friday, but when Jack realized his work schedule was going to make it impossible to get there, Grandma and Grandpa stepped up to the plate and offered to babysit Owen in NYC for the weekend (and a rainy one to boot!).
Owen had a fabulous time with his grandparents and loved having them all to himself... here's the look on his face when Jack said "Grandma and Grandpa are coming!"

Once they arrived, Owen wasted no time showing Grandpa all of his new tricks...

After leaving, Grandma wrote us a note that said, "My favorite mental snapshot from the weekend: O reaching up and taking Suey's sunglasses, putting them on upside down and lopsided, giving his devil-may-care crooked smile, and saying in a deep drawl, "Coooool." Wish we could post that one on YouTube!!"
Owen had a great time with them, and Jack and I were so thankful for their help. Owen sent Grandma flowers yesterday at school to thank her, and it looks like he may have won over some adoring fans in doing so...

Meanwhile, with Owen in excellent hands at home, I had a great time in Raleigh... Finley is adorable (and hilarious) as ever, and little Coady couldn't be cuter. He's exceptionally smiley for a 7 week old baby, and Katy caught a few of those faces on camera...
