4 years!

For Labor Day weekend and our fourth anniversary, we headed to Cape Cod with Owen... we have much to be thankful for over the past four years, starting with Owen who we just adore. With our next little guy soon on the way, this was the last trip with just the three of us, and we had a blast.

When we arrived at Ocean Edge, Owen wasted no time in running out on their great lawn and chasing down the geese...

Later that night, they had a bonfire on the beach where the kids could make S'mores... Owen loved them.

The next morning, Owen woke us up and in a rare moment, decided to snuggle in bed with us... usually he lasts 30 seconds before he tells us to "get up!"

Hurricane Earl was set to arrive that next day, but that didn't stop us from heading down to the beach to survey the scene....

Turns out, Earl came without much ado and the hype was for naught... just in case we lost power, Housekeeping did bring all of the guests a flashlight which Owen loved and he kept turning it on and off, telling us to watch out for the hurricane!
By morning, Earl was gone leaving sunshine (and a lot of wind!) and we were able to enjoy the day at the beach...

After the beach, we headed to the pool which Owen loved... they had a kiddie pool and big pool, and since Owen is 90% potty trained, he was allowed to go in the big pool... he couldn't have been more excited.

Though Jack did get to spend some time relaxing on the sidelines, he couldn't resist jumping in there to play with Owen...

It wouldn't be a trip to Brewster without visiting some of our old Ranere haunts, so we first stopped by the Brewster General Store...

And then made our way to the Strawberry Patch where the antique trains were a huge hit...

Before leaving Ocean Edge, we walked over to the Carriage House where we had our rehearsal dinner...

And before leaving the Cape, we drove over to Wychmere...

Before heading back to Manhattan, we stayed in Hanson for a night... Owen had a blast picking tomatoes from Grandma's garden with her.

What a great way to end the summer!
