Beach house

This summer, we decided to rent a house in Milford, Connecticut to escape the heat of NYC... lucky we did! It was the hottest summer on record in Manhattan!

We went to look at the house on a very snowy day in January... here's the path down to the beach. Even in the snow it was inviting!



Fast forward 7 months, and here's the same path on a beautiful sunny day in July...


The house at 53 7th Avenue... Here's Laurel Beach at sunset... the lowtide was great and perfect for Owen to explore. Over the 2 months, he grew to love crabs, clams, snails, Silversides (guppies), and starfish. He also turned into a fish himself... by the end of the summer, he was running into the ocean with swimmies, tackling the waves and surf on his own.
